4-Step Playbook

New to Vegas? Here’s exactly what to do.

The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign is a quick and memorable stop—if you know the parking approach and queue logistics. Follow our simple playbook.

Step 01

Time Your Visit

Beat the heavy tour bus rush. The best window for even lighting and short lines is shortly after sunrise (6 AM - 8 AM) or during the late afternoon blue hour.

Check current conditions →
Step 02

Access Southbound Only

The small median parking lot (12-15 spaces) is only accessible when driving southbound on Las Vegas Blvd. If the lot is full, bypass safely—never block traffic lanes.

Step 03

24/7 Transit & Rideshare

Avoid parking stress altogether. The RTC Deuce Strip bus runs 24/7 and stops steps from the sign. Taxis and Uber/Lyft have a dedicated drop-off zone.

Step 04

Reverse Angle Farewell

Don't just photograph the front. Walk around to view the back of the sign reading 'Drive Carefully, Come Back Soon' for the full mid-century historic experience.

24/7 Strip Shuttle Bus Access

24/7 Public Shuttle & Rideshare

Unlike airports, the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign does not operate private shuttles. Instead, the official **RTC Deuce Strip bus** functions as a 24/7 public shuttle, stopping right in front of the plaza.

RTC

The RTC Deuce bus is the primary 24/7 Strip shuttle. It runs constantly (every 10-15 minutes) and has a dedicated stop right at the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign plaza. Tickets can be purchased via the rideRTC app or at ticket vending machines at key Strip stops.

RIDE

Uber, Lyft, and taxis have a dedicated passenger loading and drop-off zone on the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard. This allows you to bypass the median parking lot entirely and avoid crossing busy traffic lanes.

Driving & Median Parking Lot

Driving Here & Parking Lots

Driving is simple, but the parking lot has strict physical limitations. Ensure you approach southbound and prepare for overflow.

DRIVE

The median parking lot is strictly accessible ONLY when driving southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard South. If you are driving northbound from the airport, you must drive past the sign to Russell Road, make a U-turn, and head south.

PARK

The lot offers free parking but is limited to approximately 12-15 standard vehicles. RVs, buses, and trailers are strictly prohibited due to tight turning spaces.

FULL

If the lot is full, do not wait or double-park in the active highway lane. Proceed south to Sunset Road, make a U-turn, and park at Mandalay Bay (0.7 miles north) or the Pinball Hall of Fame (0.4 miles north) and walk the rest of the way.
